Canterwood Crest
Canterwood Crest is a book series about a girl named Sasha who enters an elite boarding school with her horse, Charm. Sasha has a rocky start at her new school and the series covers all her misadventures and typically high school girl drama. I really like this book because the author, Jessica Burkhart, has really put her time and effort into writing this. Sasha is a great character .I’ve read these books like a thousand times.

The Silver Brumby
The Silver Brumby, written by Elyne Mitchell, is an amazing classic Australian work of literature. I personally love the book, not only because it was so well written but also because it tells the story from the horse’s perspective. I simply fell in love with the book!
The 1993 movie, on the other hand, left me sorely disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, the acting was great. The movie stars Caroline Goodall and Russell Crowe. The story was ok. But the movie had three flaws that I couldn’t get past. First, it didn’t tell the story from the horse’s perspective!!!! That was the best part of the book! Second, it was narrated. I found that annoying. And finally, the movie left out too many great things from the book. Because of these reasons, I am sad to say that I did not enjoy watching the film.
I give the Silver Brumby novel 5 stars and the movie 3 stars.

The Quicksand Pony
The Quicksand Pony, written by Alison Lester, is a book you will never forget. It is a gripping adventure set in the Australian outback. And… you guessed it, a horse gets stuck in quicksand. I cannot tell you anymore because I’ll ruin it for you! It’s just the best book ever. YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!!!

Free Rein
Free Rein is an enjoyable British drama series. I watched it on Netflix. The show is based on an American girl who relocates to a small British island and discovers her true love and talent for riding horses. The first season was really good but as the show continues it gets a bit too dramatic for my liking. This show is perfect for people who like a bit of girl drama, a lot of fun adventure and a splash of romance.
I rate this show 4 stars.
